The Merry Wanderer

Hummel 7

MERRY WANDERER can be found in alot of different sizes. From 6 1/4" to 33" to the six foot one right in front of the Goebel factory in Roedental. The one we have here is the 6 1/4" Merry Wanderer standing on top of the hummelscape called "Generations of Excellence". Looks nice, doesn't he? As you can see he has the 130 Anniversary mark. And check out that backstamp...And signed by Masterpainter Christina Goihl

And now for his "Big Brother"... He stands 12" high and looks great standing beside the big Meditation. He was signed by master painter Isabella Then and as you can see he has a medallion with him.

Just for your info...these medallions are given only to visitors of the Goebel factory, unless of course you might see it for sale on one of the auction sites, but I doubt it. The medallion has the picture of the Little Fiddler on one side and on the other side a nice little "Thank you for coming" inscription... Well, you can read the rest. Not too many people who have one of these medallions want to sell theirs and I sure don't see alot of people that can get a hold of them to sell.

These big ones like the Merry Wanderer and Meditation are just awesome to display in the shrunk. They look awesome standing together...looks like a Battle of the Titans or something.
