Give thanks for what you have

This will start small for now. A few that I can think of are:

     - How old are the Dresdens pictured here?

 - Most of the Dresdens here are new as far as the date they were
     manufactured are concerned.

     - Do we have any old Dresdens?

 - No and wishing won't help. Old Dresdens are hard to come by and
the ones that I did find have broken laces, fingers or missing some
other extremities. And the ones that I saw in mint condition would
have paid for my face lift. Like fine wine, time increases their value.

     - Are these really Genuine Dresdens?

 - YES! They are all genuine Dresdens. Made from the original
Dresden molds. That are scattered throughout Europe. Unlike Hummels,
which have the famous M.I. Hummel signatures...Dresden marks are
varied and can range from a simple crown to a D to a combination of
     other letters and symbols.

     - Can you tell me more about Dresdens?

 - My current knowledge is on the page for your reference. Please
look on the resources/links page for a little bit more information.
Again, I welcome all suggestions, comments or any other information
about Dresdens from anyone. This benefits everybody and helps in their
decision whether this is a good masterpiece to collect or to head
on over to the Hummel department. So please reach out and touch
someone. Give and you will receive. Knowledge is just an email
away......But here's a page for general information about
	 Dresdens

     - Can you tell me more about Hummels?

 - Just go to the Pictures
Gallery and the bottom you'll see the link or you can go directly to
		  Hummels and see
more pictures of M.I. Hummels. Or if you just prefer to read about general
information about Hummels then go Here and you'll read about how to tell the trademarks and other valuable advice in collecting.

     - What can I post on the message board?

 - Basically anything that is decent and legal. If you have
something, i.e. markings, figurine, questions, that I
cannot answer and would like the opportunity to ask another
who might visit the site, then by all means. That's the purpose
of the board to bring together as many collectors of Dresdens,
Hummels, and other collectable together. It will not be perfect
at first and I know I'll have to modify it now and then... but it
will be a start. Just ask yourself this when posting, "Would I want
someone to show or say something like this to me or my family?" If
you feel that in your heart that it's wrong, then you're a decent person.

     - Do I really need to fill out the guestbook?

 - Of course not. You're here to browse and enjoy the pictures. Not
to take a survey on which came first, "The chicken or the egg". But if
you have the time, please fill it out with what information you feel
comfortable in giving. You have my word that I will not misuse it! Do think
of the possible benefits though in filling it out. With more people signing the
guestbook and making themselves known, that's a person who can contribute and
share their knowledge of their piece. And "Collectively" I'm sure we can help
each other out. So look at it from that perspective.

     - What is the condition of all your collections?

 - Absolutely mint and in perfect condition. I know that some collectors
doesn't mind acquiring items that have been slightly damaged, but we're picky
and to us...if you're going to invest in something, better get one of Pristine condition. All of ours, Dresdens, Hummels, Lladros, etc. have no breaks, damages, repairs, crazing, hairline fractures, NA-DA!

     - Do we know of any place or person that does restoration?

 - Not at the current moment. I would suggest that if you are
looking for one. Do your best to find one that is local and specializes
in figurines. It makes no sense to go to a restorer who specializes in
wood when you've got a Hummel with a broken arm.

     - Do we know of anyone that could give you an appraisal for your figurines?

 - There are a few on the Resources/Links page. But do keep in mind
that we are in no way associated with them or receive any compensation.
We found them on the search engine just like everything else. So as
to how "Accurate" they are. You decide that. Strange as it may seem
one appraiser's value could be quite different from another and can
range to quite an amount. So check each one out carefully, check the
Better Business Bureau and if you feel comfortable corresponding with
	 them, then that's a plus.

     - Can anyone submit information or suggestions about Dresdens and
     other collectibles?

 - Why of course. As I've said....I don't know everything. And
the more I can put up here, the better. But do remember that some
of the information that I put up might not necessarily be true, it's
based on what people sent me, what I have read and my perception of
it. After all....Perception is the first step towards progression.
So don't think, you're gonna take me to "People's Court" because
I put out the wrong information. That's for you to decide. Besides
I've got "Judge Dredd" on my side.

     - Where did we acquire all our collections?

 - 97% of all the items on our site were acquired overseas in
Europe, mainly in Germany. Some in Italy. A few of our
Hummels we got from QVC. And yes, alot of people have asked us the specific address.
Our apologies, we acquired them at various locations in Europe and we don't have addresses.
The only address we have for sure is from QVC.

     - Which is better to collect Hummels or Dresdens?

 - That's a matter of preference, because each one is very
nice in their own right. Within lies the answer, so....
ask your heart, not your checkbook. Well of course, you'd
     have to consider that too.

     - Are any of the collections on your site for sale?

 - Yes and no. It actually depends on my better half. We've traded before and
have sold a few, so you won't know until you ask. It's not like we have a
whole warehouse of this stuff. If we did...we'd start a business. Again feel
free to ask...we're just an email away.

Well that's it for now, Folks!!! Told you it's short. Until people ask
or complain then I'll put up more and/or change it. But I would like to
thank the the people who has supplied me with some information already.
Thanks, Lady L. (Of course the names have been changed to protect the
innocent).
