Final Sculpt by Gerhard Shrobek
This gorgeous little beauty stands 5-1/4" tall. This Hummel figurine is the last and farewell piece by the artist Gerhard Shrobek. Limited Edition of only 8000 Worldwide, this piece was only available at signings by Gerhard Shrobek on his farewall North American tour in 2002.
He visited 37 cities autographing his figurine and visiting with collectors and friends.The figurine is a self-portrait of sorts, in the M.I.Hummel style, of a young Gerhard doing his final sculpt and waving good-bye, a copy of Gerhard's book, "Hummel's and My- Life Stories" can be seen at his feet". Included is a 1-3/4" diameter Hummel medallion with a black silhouette of Gerhard Shrobek on one side, and printed in blue on the other-"Gerhard Shrobek- Farewell Tour 2002".
This 2002 Hummel Event Exclusive, The Final Sculpt, is an extremely limited edition of 8,000 pieces signed by Hummel Master Sculptor Gerhard Shrobek.Each piece includes a Skrobek Silhouette Medallion and special Shrobek backstamp. This is the last piece that Gerhard Shrobek will sculpt as a remembrance of his unbelievable dedication for over 50 years.
